Google Jess
MCA was invited to bid on an office fit-out RFP for Google in Dublin, Ireland. The task was to create a collaborative working environment within a recently completed office block in the Silicon Docks.
The core objective of this project was to establish a collaborative and harmonious workspace that would seamlessly integrate the diverse disciplines within Google. A key focus was on fostering an environment that not only facilitated productivity but also resonated with the principles of nature, bringing a sense of tranquillity into the bustling workspace.
Central to this endeavour was the meticulous design of the atrium. This pivotal element was carefully curated to not only serve as a functional space but also to be a visual masterpiece. A prominent feature of this atrium was the expansive feature stair which would encourage fluid movement within the space and promote interaction and collaboration.
My responsibilities included:
- Conceptually modelling and massing the existing office.
- Designing the internal cores for more efficient use of space.
- Generating renders using software such as Enscape and Revit.
- Documenting area plans of the development.
