KGAL
As an architect at MCA, I played a crucial and active part in successfully securing the bid for KGAL’s new offices in Dublin.
The task presented a unique challenge: to expand the available floor area while preserving the existing façade. Our team took a methodical approach, reimagining the core layout, introducing an additional floor, and strategically enlarging the rear floorplate. This thoughtful redesign was aimed at fostering a more collaborative and efficient workspace in line with modern work trends and requirements.
The project is in the early stages of development, and the design is progressing in line with the client’s brief.
My responsibilities included:
- Conceptually modelling and massing the existing office.
- Designing the internal cores for more efficient use of space.
- Generating renders using software such as Enscape and Revit.
- Documenting area plans of the development.
